The Ogun State Judiciary on Friday commissioned a newly built High Court Complex at Isheri-Olofin in Ifo Local Government Area, marking the fourth court facility inaugurated in the state within 18 months.
The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, who led the commissioning, described the edifice as a product of synergy between the state judiciary and the host community.
She noted that the move reflected the judiciary’s determination to make justice delivery more accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of residents.
“From the commissioning of courts in Ijoko, Ifo, and Ojodu Abiodun last year to this magnificent facility today, we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that no citizen of Ogun State is denied justice due to geographical or logistical constraints,” Justice Dipeolu said.
The Chief Judge explained that the new Isheri High Court would ease the workload of existing courts, enhance access to justice, and provide a hub for speedy and fair adjudication of cases.
She further recalled that the Ifo High Court Complex was commissioned on the same date last year, underscoring the pace of judicial infrastructure development in the state.
While appreciating the people of Isheri-Olofin for donating the facility, Justice Dipeolu lauded the efforts of the Olu of Isheri-Olofin, Oba Engr. Suleiman Adekunle Bamgbade, for mobilising community support for the project.
In his goodwill message, the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, praised the Chief Judge for her dedication to expanding judicial access, while urging stronger collaboration between the judiciary and traditional rulers in the state.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Kusimo, noted that the establishment of more courts in the area had contributed significantly to reducing crime rates, adding that the new complex would further strengthen law and order.
Oba Bamgbade, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the judiciary for approving the court’s construction, assuring that the edifice would uplift the community’s status while providing a conducive environment for judicial proceedings.
The event was attended by High Court judges, magistrates, judicial officers, traditional rulers, legal practitioners, and community leaders.
