Leaders and operators of commercial three wheelers and tricycles under the auspices of Three Wheeler Owners and Riders Association (TWORA), Ogun State Chapter, have backed the state governor, Dapo Abiofun, for the second term.
The operators of ‘Keke Marwa’ tricycles, also known as commercial tricycles, showed their support for Abiodun’s re-election on Thursday, at a Strategic State Meeting held at MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta.
The TWORA leaders and members, led by Chairman Azeez Adeyemi, Vice-Chairman Sola Olalere, and Secretary Musiliu Okerayi, emphasized that the Abiodun-led Administration of All Progressives Congress (APC) had in the last three and half years executed landmark capital projects to warrant being re-elected as Executive Governor of the State.
Addressing hundreds of members, who had cobvereged for the endorsement, the Ogun State TWORA Chairman, Azeez Adeyemi, stressed that the endorsement was necessary to allow the APC-led Government in the State to complete all ongoing projects and provide good governance.
The Vice Chairman of the association also praised Abiodun’s administration for its contribution to the smooth operations of commercial transporters in the state, as well as the owners and riders of the three-wheelers and tricycles under the Three Wheeler Owners and Riders Association.
Likewise, the Secretary of TWORA, Musiliu Okerayi, stated that as the Head of the Secretariat at TWORA Ogun State, he was working to ensure that thousands of TWORA members in all the three Senatorial Districts and 20 Local Government Areas of the State vote for Prince Dapo Abiodun as Governor and all the 26 APC Candidates for Ogun State House of Assembly.
In response, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abiodun on Environment, Farouk Akintunde, thanked the transport union and TWORA for their support and endorsement of Governor Dapo Abiodun. He noted that the endorsement was a testament to good works and massive capital projects undertaken across the State.
Akintunde identified all APC candidates for the Governorship and State Legislative Elections, especially Abiodun, as candidates to beat in the upcoming elections.
He also stated that Abiodun and APC have made significant strides in all aspects of life and sectors of socio-economic growth and development, including education, infrastructure development, and healthcare.
He expressed confidence that the APC will receive massive votes and Abiodun will be re-elected for a second term in the coming elections.
“Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR and APC have touched all aspects of life and sectors of socio-economic growth and development. If you talk of education, Dapo has done well; if you look at the areas of infrastructure development, our Governor is doing wonderfully well; and if you also consider the health sector, we are doing very well. So, Prince Dapo Abiodun has passed marks in all sectors.
“So, come next week Saturday when the electorate will go to the poll, we have assurance from the professionals, different trade groups, transport unions, market women and men, teachers, faith-based organisations, and others, that APC will get massive votes and Abiodun will be re-elected for a second term.” He said.
