    Ogun Last Batch Pilgrims Departs Mecca For Nigeria

    The remaining 90 pilgrims airlifted from Ogun State to Saudi Arabia for this year Hajj rites have departed the kingdom for Nigeria .

    The Chairman, Ad-hoc Committee of the 2023 Ogun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,Dr. Tajudeen Asaye disclosed this to PLATFORM TIMES on Wednesday.


    Asaye who led the committee that took 1237 pilgrims for the spiritual exercise, said the remaining 90 Ogun pilgrims were the officials who had to stay behind to ensure everything was set .


    Asaye said “we give thanks to Allah for the gift of life and successful performance of the Hajj rites 2023.

    “I, Dr, Asaye Tajudeen the Chairman Adhoc Committee Ogun State pilgrim Board and the Chairman of the medical team for the 2023 Hajj Dr, Kusimo, are on board with the 90 pilgrims that remain in Saudi for a journey back to Nigeria to join our family and the remaining 1147 making 1237 Ogun State Pilgrims that perform a very successful Hajj rite.”

    PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the last batch of Ogun Pilgrim 90 pilgrims left Mecca to Jeddah airport to board aircraft coming back to Nigeria around 7:52 am Saudi time.

    It was further gathered that among the officials in the last batch were the Amir Hajj from the state, Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun and the consultant to the State Government on Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Iskil Awwal.”
