The ancient city of Abeokuta came alive on Monday, December 22, 2025, as His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Mutiu Alani Adedimeji Oyede Lawal Sijuade Adukonu I, Oloola of Ilara Land, conferred a prestigious traditional title on popular Fresh FM presenter, Moses Fakeye, fondly known as Ajede.
Fakeye was crowned the “Afi Ede Seso of Broadcasters” during a grand 3-in-1 celebration that combined his birthday, the graduation of Ajede Crew students, and the unveiling of a new studio project.
The event, held beside Deeper Life Church, Leme/Sam Ewange area of Abeokuta, drew dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers from across the state.
In a moving tribute, Oba Oyede Lawal praised Fakeye for his dedication, humility, and exemplary character, describing him as a broadcaster whose influence extends beyond the microphone.
“Moses Fakeye stands out among his peers, consistently shaping lives through mentorship and training. The crown he receives today is well deserved,” the monarch said.
He urged the graduating students to emulate Fakeye’s discipline, commitment, and integrity as they carve their paths in the broadcasting profession.
“Success follows those who combine hard work with good character,” Oba Oyede Lawal noted, praying for divine guidance upon the graduates and their future endeavours.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Day, Engr. Alhaji Jamiu Ogundele (Jamsalod), founder of the Jamiu Ogundele Foundation, delivered an inspiring lecture titled “How Can Someone Be Successful in Life?”
He highlighted three pillars of success: defining one’s path and avoiding distractions, cultivating the right mindset and habits through focus and determination, and maintaining a good character that fosters trust and opportunity.
In his appreciation speech, Fakeye, CEO of Ajede Crew, thanked the royal father, chairman, dignitaries, and guests for their support.
Four students graduated from Ajede Crew—MC Gold, Yeyemeso, Kola Omo Adekola, and Ola Olaribigbe—and were presented with certificates.Several awards also punctuated the event.
Oba Oyede Lawal received the Royal Knight of Honour Award, while Engr. Ogundele was honoured with the Transformative Impact Award. Lavender Company won the Pillar of Innovation Award, and Bendel received the Outstanding Achievement Award.
The event was further elevated by the presence of prominent personalities, including representatives of the Alawiye Federation, Emmanuel Oke, Olufemi Oyenekan, and Kasnanty, who added colour and prestige to the memorable celebration.
