Traditional rulers in Ogun State have pledged unwavering support for the upcoming maiden edition of the Public Relations Week scheduled to take place from April 22nd to 26th in Abeokuta.

The endorsement came from the Chairman of the Ogun State Traditional Council and Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi.

He conveyed the monarchs’ support while receiving members of the NIPR National Planning Week Committee, led by the Bobakede of Oke Ona Egba, Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, during a visit to his palace in Sagamu.

Oba Ajayi expressed gratitude to the NIPR for selecting Ogun State as the host for the inaugural PR Week, ahead of other contenders.

He assured the committee of his commitment to mobilize traditional rulers across the state to actively participate in specially designed sessions aimed at enhancing their public relations skills, particularly in investment promotion, mediation, and sustainability efforts.

The monarch commended the composition of the organizing committee, noting the presence of seasoned professionals, and expressed his eagerness to personally attend the event.

Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, briefing the monarch on the week’s activities, sought his blessings for the comprehensive program.

In addition, the Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, emphasized the significance of mediation over litigation, underscoring the importance of peaceful resolution in societal conflicts.

Accompanying Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya on the visit were Mrs. Seun Boye, the Ogun State NIPR Chairman; Mr. Akin Okudero, FNIPR, CEO of PR Primus; Mrs. Victoria Nwadoka, member of the marketing committee; Deacon Dara Adebimpe; and Mr. Kunle Olayeni, the Ogun NIPR Secretary.

Also present were Pastor Dare Folarin, Editor of PR Primus Magazine, Mr. Bukola Akinrinde, and Mr. Fatai Sobande.
