The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, on the occasion of his 65th birthday and the sixth anniversary of his administration.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the chapter’s Chairman, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, and Secretary, Mr. Kunle Olayeni, the body described the twin milestones—celebrated on May 29—as a momentous achievement worthy of recognition and commendation.
The Ogun NIPR lauded Governor Abiodun for what it described as his unwavering dedication to the growth and development of the Gateway State.
According to the group, the Governor’s visionary leadership has resulted in remarkable progress across critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, agriculture and food security, digital innovation, and social development.
“We join other well-meaning Nigerians in celebrating a leader who has demonstrated uncommon commitment to good governance and strategic leadership,” the statement read.
The professional body particularly acknowledged the Governor’s efforts in fostering a conducive environment for business and investment, noting that his administration’s reforms have opened up vast opportunities for residents and investors alike.
“As public relations professionals, we are proud to celebrate a patron who has embraced innovative governance and deployed communication as a vital tool in public engagement and policy implementation,” the statement added.
The Ogun NIPR reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Abiodun-led administration through strategic communication partnerships aimed at promoting inclusive development and responsive governance.
“As we mark this double celebration, we wish His Excellency good health, divine wisdom, and continued strength to steer the ship of Ogun State and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s development,” the chapter concluded.
Prince Dapo Abiodun was sworn in as the fifth democratically elected Governor of Ogun State on May 29, 2019.
