    Ogun Pilgrims Depart Madinah To  Mecca For Hajj rites

    The last batch of Ogun State pilgrims have departed Medina to join two previous batches in Mecca for lesser Hajj to begin the Hajj rites.

    Chairman of the Ogun State 2023 adhoc committee, Dr. Tajudeen Asaye disclosed this on Friday .

    He had announced that Ogun has airlifted 1,234 pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.

    He said “We are going to stop at the miqat to put on our Hirram white slim less two clothes for males while females must dress following Islamic principles, from there the pilgrims started pronouncing remembering Allah till they get to Mecca which is almost 445 kilometers from Medina.

    “When we get to Mecca we will drop our luggage outside and go to the sanctuary house to circumambulate it seven times, hastening between Safar and Marwa seven times and cut our hair.

    “The rites have some fundamental that guide the pronunciation of the intention at every significant point of the rites.”
