In a recent development, the Ogun State Police Command has successfully apprehended Mr. Alao James, who was found in possession of a stolen blue Toyota Rav4 SUV with registration number MUS580JA.

The stolen vehicle was located and recovered by the diligent efforts of the Divisional Police Officer in Sango.

The owner of the SUV, Mr. Elogie Polycap, had previously reported the theft to the police, explaining that his car had been stolen from a car park in Gbagada by unknown criminals.

Ogun State police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, revealed that the police had engaged in intelligence-based policing to track down the stolen vehicle and the suspect.

The operation led them to Ilo Ota, located in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, where they successfully apprehended the 55-year-old suspect, Alao James.

“Intelligence-based policing led the Divisional Police Officer to arrest one Alao James, a 55-year-old male, at his hideout in Ilo Ota, in connection with the crime,” stated Odutola.

All recovered evidence and the suspect will be handed over to the Gbagada Police Station, where the initial case originated. The Ogun State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of its residents and will continue to take action against criminal activities within the state
