Ogun State, August 22, 2023 – Renowned broadcast journalist Adeyinka Adegbite, popularly known as Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà, was bestowed with an award of excellence on Tuesday.
The accolade was conferred upon him by the Environmental Health And Ecological Research Group at Ogun State Polytechnic Of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese Ijebu, Ijebu Ode.
The distinguished award, titled “Communication and Media Excellence,” was presented to him by the former Provost of the Polytechnic, Dr. Olusegun Ogunyanwo.
The presentation took place during the Annual International Environmental and Public Health Conference held at Adetumbi Adebanjo hall within the institution.
This recognition was a testament to Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà’s impactful contributions toward fostering a sustainable environment and public health system.
Speaking about the award, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Olaniyi Opasola, praised his remarkable talent, creativity, and dedication to the field of media.
Opasola further emphasized that Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà’s exceptional achievements within the media sphere drew the attention of the selection committee, leading to his well-deserved honor.

” Your work reflects your passion, commitment, and innovative approach to your craft,” stated Opasola.
In response, Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà expressed gratitude to the Environmental Health And Ecological Research Group for bestowing the honor upon him.
He pledged to uphold their faith in him and continue making strides in the field of media.
The award recipient confessed that the recognition caught him off guard, recounting his surprise upon receiving the notification letter.
Notably, in a heartfelt gesture, Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà dedicated this esteemed award to Dr. Olayinka Joei Ayefele, the Chief Executive Officer of Fresh FM Nigeria.
He acknowledged Ayefele’s unwavering support, stating that the CEO’s opportunities have significantly contributed to his remarkable achievements.
