The Ogun Progressive People (OPP), led by Convener and Director General Olola Faith Daniel, has declared its firm support for All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidates in the forthcoming local government elections in Ogun State, scheduled for November 16, 2024.

In a statement, Daniel emphasized the importance of the election and expressed confidence in APC’s capacity to deliver effective governance across the state’s local government areas.

According to the OPP leader, the APC remains committed to the values of progress, integrity, and community-centered leadership, which Daniel described as essential qualities in guiding Ogun State’s future.

“Our chairmanship candidates have the vision and expertise needed to build on previous achievements,” Daniel stated, noting that these leaders are equipped to tackle critical issues, improve infrastructure, and enhance services in healthcare, education, and economic development.

The press release commended the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) and the state government for maintaining a transparent and orderly election process.

Daniel lauded OGSIEC’s commitment to electoral integrity, emphasizing the confidence this has fostered among both voters and candidates.

“The proactive measures taken by OGSIEC to enforce electoral rules showcase a dedication to democracy that genuinely reflects the people’s will,” the OPP leader remarked.

He said the OPP’s endorsement shows that the state’s administration, led by APC, has actively strengthened democratic foundations in Ogun State.

According to him, through measures such as open communication, security at polling stations, and transparent procedures, Daniel believes that Ogun State’s electoral system is poised to be a model of credibility and fairness.

“We are working hand in hand to secure a comprehensive victory for the APC,” Daniel said, adding that a unified APC win would enhance service delivery at the grassroots level and improve the quality of life for Ogun residents.

Despite challenges, Daniel asserted that APC leaders are steadfast in their commitment to effective governance and betterment of the communities they serve.

The OPP leader concluded with a call to supporters across the state, urging them to back APC’s candidates and “join hands to secure a promising future for Ogun State.”
