The Senator representing the Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, has filed out cash to 100 pilgrims in this year’s hajj exercise in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The State Chairman, Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, (TORAN), Ogun State,Abdulwaasi Agunbiade, also called Yayi Agbara, disclosed this on Monday through a statement signed by the representative of Yayi Support Group,Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Hussain Abubakar
The statement quoted Agunbiade to have said the token was given to the identified pilgrims from Ogun West Senatorial District of the state as part of plans by the Senator to support the pilgrims who are preparing to return back to the country during the week.
The beneficiaries from Ogun West Senatorial District while appreciating the support given to them by Senator Adeola, thanked him for looking out for their welfare.
According to the statement,the 100 benefiting pilgrims were identified and selected from the five local government areas of the Ogun West Senatorial District of the state.
“The local government areas where the pilgrims were picked from include: Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, Yewa South LGA, Yewa North LGA, Imeko/Afon LGA and Ipokia LGA.
“The support grant was done through the five (5) coordinators of each local government area of Ogun West Senatorial District as stated;
Alhaji Rasheed Mohammed – Imeko-Afon LGA, Alhaji Ridwan Abass – Yewa NorthLGA, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal – Yewa SouthLGA, Alhaji Mujeeb Ajikobi – Ipokia LGA and Prince (Alh.) Olusesi Sulaimon – Ado-Odo/Ota LGA.
