The Ogun Tech Community has launched what it describes as Nigeria’s first real-time AI-powered sports platform ahead of the 22nd National Sports Festival — Gateway Games Ogun 2025.

The new website, www.sportfestival.ng, was officially unveiled in Abeokuta on Thursday, and is expected to serve as the central digital hub for the upcoming games.

According to the community, the platform is a landmark innovation designed to deliver live updates, athlete profiles, event schedules, medal tallies, multimedia content, and interactive features in real time.

In a statement signed by the President of the Ogun Tech Community, Mr. Durosinmi A.E, the organisation described the project as “a revolutionary digital solution” for Nigeria’s sporting ecosystem, developed with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to enhance user engagement and information accessibility during the multi-sport event.

The group thanked Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for what it called his “relentless support for youth innovation and the digital ecosystem,” as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its continued collaboration.

“We are also grateful to our strategic partner, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter, for their role in curating timely and engaging content,” the statement read.

The tech community further acknowledged the Honourable Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, whom it hailed as a mentor and inspiration to young tech leaders across the country.

Durosinmi added that the platform represents a bold step towards showcasing Ogun State on both national and global stages using technology as a catalyst for transformation.

The Gateway Games Ogun 2025 is scheduled to be one of the most digitally integrated editions of the National Sports Festival, with www.sportfestival.ng expected to play a central role in coverage and coordination.
