The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has vowed prioritize youth empowerment and welfare if elected as Ogun State Governor in Saturdays election.
He made the declaration at the mega rally organised by the party in Abẹ́òkúta.
Hon Adebutu noted that successive governments have not properly tapped into the potentials that youths have and as such that state bears the loss of not properly developing its youth.
In his address, he pointed out that one of his priorities will be to review downward tuition paid across all state-owned institutions in the state.
He bemoaned the insensitivity of the current APC-led administration not to know that the best thing to do in a country where more than half the population live below poverty line is review the tuition downward.
Adebutu promised that students in Ogun State will heave a sigh of relief as soon as his administration comes on board.
While addressing party faithful that were present at the rally, Dr Adebutu further pointed out that a responsible state government must devise plans for youth empowerment through the availability of trainings and tapping into the flood of opportunities that the fourth industrial revolution provides.
He admonished youths in the state to vote for him in the forthcoming polls as this will guarantee a paradigm shift in their story.
In concluding his address, the candidate urged all voters in the state to cast their vote for the PDP in all the elective positions available in the election and ensure that they do not fall to the overtures of the APC.
