The newly sworn-in President of the Remo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (RECCIMA), Omo’ba Musibau Abiola Ogundeko, has pledged to reposition the body as the leading voice of commerce and industry in Remoland with a clear agenda for sustainable economic growth.
Ogundeko, who was inaugurated on Friday as the 11th President of RECCIMA during a colourful investiture ceremony at the Conference Hall, Owolowo House, Sagamu, said his administration would prioritise entrepreneurship development, youth and women empowerment, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships.
While acknowledging the contributions of his predecessors, Ogundeko said the Chamber under his leadership would build on their legacies by “promoting innovation, inclusiveness, and excellence as core values for the collective prosperity of Remoland and Nigeria.”
“This is not the task of one man or one council—it is a collective responsibility. Together, we can build a stronger Chamber, a vibrant Remoland, and a more prosperous future for generations to come,” Ogundeko declared.
The new president, who expressed gratitude to his family, royal fathers, and business leaders for their support, outlined five strategic focus areas for RECCIMA.
According to him the new leadership is going strengthening Member Value – through advocacy, networking, training, and access to finance and markets; youth and Women Empowerment – providing mentorship and enterprise platforms ; digital Transformation – leveraging technology to promote e-commerce and innovation ; Advocacy and Partnerships – engaging government, royal institutions, and international agencies ; and Culture and Tourism Development – positioning Remoland as a hub for heritage and the creative economy.
The event was graced by top dignitaries, including the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, and the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, Torungbuwa II, who pledged their support to the new RECCIMA leadership.
Other notable attendees were past presidents of RECCIMA, members of the Akarigbo Corporate Council, government officials, captains of industry, and youth entrepreneurs.
Ogundeko reaffirmed RECCIMA’s vision of becoming the driving force for economic development in Remoland while stressing the need for members to rally behind the Chamber’s programmes.
He called for unity and innovation, saying: “We shall write a new chapter of progress for RECCIMA and Remoland together.”
