The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has awarded a contract for the construction of FM radio station in the institution.
The contract also covers the provision of equipment necessary for the take-off of the radio station.
The contract was awarded to Omoluabi Construction Company, a subsidiary of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Earlier while handing over the construction site to the company, the Rector of the insitution Engr. Usman Kallamu, urged the contractor to ensure a qualitative work is done, leaving no room for error, adding that the polytechnic will not compromise quality and standard.
Kallamu who was represented by the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr Ibrahim Babale Gashua, further informed the contractor that the project is a special one as it is being funded through revitalisation fund and will undergo series of monitoring.
Kallamu therefore called on them to stick to specifications and live up to expectations as this will qualify them for future consideration.
In his response, the Group Chairman of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited, Dr Victor Eniola Mark, assured them of the company’s stance on virtues and quality.
Mark, who was represented by Engr Ahmed Ogunlesi, noted that the integrity and track-record of the company and its many subsidiaries which led to the award of the contract is one that they will uphold.
He said: “For us, virtues matter. We are big on quality and integrity. We will exceed expectations and deliver in record time.”
