The Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) to safeguarding the security of Yorubaland against external threats.
He encouraged OPC leadership, particularly in Osun State, to engage in recruiting and training new members for effective integration into the group.
Addressing attendees at the Osun OPC state congress in Osogbo, Adams emphasized the significance of adhering to the group’s core ideology.
He urged both new and existing members to avoid internal conflicts, thereby enabling them to effectively fulfill their roles as security personnel.
Adams stated, “Let us not lose sight of OPC’s ideology.
Our dedication is to prevent external forces from encroaching upon or overpowering the Yoruba people.
This principle is the bedrock of OPC, and it’s imperative that we remain steadfast to it.
“As authentic OPC members in Osun, it is your responsibility to back the new Coordinator in order to uphold the group’s commitment to its core values.
“Together, we must shield OPC from both internal and external discord, as doing so equates to safeguarding Yorubaland. Continue rallying new members and inculcate our ideology in them.”
Adams also emphasized the need for dedication, discipline, and a strong sense of duty.
He reassured the attendees that the group would persist in its efforts to create a more secure Yoruba land, fostering an environment where individuals can work and earn a lawful livelihood.
The Aare Onakakanfo’s address resounded as a call to unity and vigilance, underscoring OPC’s dedication to preserving the security and prosperity of Yorubaland against all odds.
