Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, on Sunday, visited the site of the fire disaster that occurred at Enyimba TV & Radio Limited at Oron Road Aba.

Enyimba which is a three-in-one radio station, was destroyed by a fire incident Saturday night, which also gutted the television stations of the station.

Speaking at the station during his visit, Governor Otti, who came to assess the level of damage, condoled the management and staff of the broadcast house while assuring that his administration would help them recover from the setback.

Otti emphasized the need for calm in the aftermath of the incident, saying it was a big loss to the broadcasting community and the people of Abia.

Governor Otti also took the opportunity to advise both individuals and businesses to prioritize fire safety measures, especially as the dry season approaches.

He highlighted the importance of equipping homes and offices with fire extinguishers and encouraged organizations to establish preventive safety protocols.

The three radio stations affected by the inferno are Enyimba 94.3, Legend 98.3 and Rose 101.9 while the TV station, Enyimba TV was also gutted.

Though no life was lost in the inferno, several key equipment worth millions of naira were left charred by the fire.
