    PCRC Inducts IAS Chairman, Six Others As Patrons, Special Advisers

    The Police Community Relations Committee,Abeokuta Metro, on Thursday, officially inducted Ayobami Adelani Akanji, Chairman of IAS Unique Homes and Properties, along with six others, as patrons and special advisers to the committee.

    The body unveiled IAS Chairman at  a ceremony held at the PCRC project located at Zone 2 Police Station in Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta.

    During the event, PCRC Chairman Pastor Oluwole expressed gratitude to those in attendance, emphasizing the importance of fostering a positive relationship between citizens and the police. 

    He stated, “Police officers are friends to the citizens, and in most cases, they might make arrests to protect people from harm. 

    “Our duty as PCRC is to enlighten citizens about the nature of their job and their significance to us.”

    Highlighting the commitment to maintaining law and order, Oluwole commended the decorated individuals, attributing their recognition to hard work.

     He assured that PCRC would continue supporting the Nigerian police in their efforts.

    Responding to the honour, Ayobami Akanji Adelani, Chairman of IAS, who was inaugurated as the ambassador and patron of Abeokuta Area Command, expressed gratitude. 

    Adelani pledged to contribute to the ongoing project in Zone 2 by providing the specified doors at any cost.

    Adelani added, “It is essential for people to be aware of PCRC’s role. 

    “IAS, in collaboration, will sponsor PCRC on radio for six weeks on a station of their choice.”
