Benue State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has commenced the sale of nomination forms for local government council polls across the state.

This was contained in a statement on Monday by the publicity secretary of the party, Oryina Orvaa.

According to him: “Chairmanship form is N100,000 payable into the party’s account with N50,000 as Expression of Interest to be paid at the State Secretariat of the party.

“Councillorship form is N70,000 to be paid to the party’s bank account, with N20,000 as Expression of Interest to be paid at the State Secretariat.

“Female aspirants for both positions are, however, required to obtain only the expression of interest forms at the prescribed fees, as nomination forms are free for all of them.

“Sales and submission of forms shall close on Saturday, 24th August, 2024.”

He said screening of aspirants will commence on August 25, 2024.

“The screening of chairmanship aspirants will hold in Makurdi at the party secretariat, while the screening of councillorship aspirants will be conducted at the various zonal headquarters,” he outlined.

Orvaa further enjoined all party members to comply with this directive as the party gears up to grab all chairmanship and councillorship seats in the forthcoming local council elections in Benue State.
