As part of his strategic moves towards combing in more foreign direct Investment to Nigeria from Canada, the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Estate, Ambassador Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo has counselled Nigerians living abroad to always deploy modern technologies to carry out quality background checks before investing their hard-earned money in real estate to avoid heart aches.
Platform Times reports that the frontline Ogun state based real estate entrepreneur who is currently on invitation to Canada by high networth Nigerians located in Manitoba and Ontario gave the candid advice during his interactions with members of the Ajorosun Union, Manitoba.
Adeyemo, who identified with the Ajorosun Union members who are predominantly Nigerians of Ibadan extracting, revealed to them that he indeed shares the same Ajorosun bloodline with them, having his origins from Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria.
The Pelican Valley CEO, who gladly shared the success story of his foray into real estate after his initial career in journalism, assured the Ajorosun members that the real estate sector remains one of the most viable investments Nigerians in the diaspora can explore and exploit profitably.
He maintained that integrity and consistency in applying innovative value additions to real estate businesses have become the hallmarks of the Pelican Valley Estate brand – where unusual homes happen!
Adeyemo, however, cautioned diaspora investors to always deploy modern technologies now available at their disposal to do necessary background checks on any property projected to them as well as any real estate agent before doing any business with such agents as there are many unscrupulous elements with criminal records who still parade themselves as real estate agents or practitioners.
In his words, “Before you ever attempt to pump your hard-earned money into any real estate offerings from Nigeria, endeavour to do your independent, technology-enhanced background checks not only on the real estate brand you are dealing with but ensure you check the profile of the proprietor of the real estate company.”
He emphasized that “Customer reviews about a real estate brand goes a long way to show their track records and the degree of reliability of investors Returns on Investment (ROI).
Responding, the President of Ajorosun Union, Manitoba, Canada assured Ambassador Adeyemo of patronage of the brand by members of the union, revealing that the union is proud of the giant strides of Pelican Valley Estate back in Nigeria.
In his conclusion, he appealed to the Nigerian real estate entrepreneur to continue to maintain the standards of excellence and integrity that have become synonymous with the brand over the years.
