PLATFORM TIMES Reporters Shine At Press Club MAPOLY 32nd Anniversary

Reporters of Platform Times, Fawaz Adebisi and Ayomide Awe shone on Thursday, at the 32nd Anniversary of the Press Club of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, PCM.

During the event, the reporters received prestigious awards for their hard work and contributions to the club.

While Adebisi received the Campus Journalist of the year award, Awe received the Rookie Reporter award of the year.

Gracing the event as panelists and special guests, in attendance were the Editor and publisher of Platform Times, Daud Olatunji, Public Relations practitioner and freelance journalist, Nurudeen Salako, Senior Correspondent at Punch And investigative journalist, Sodiq Ojuroungbe and a Content Writer and executive assistant, Olubukola Samson, among many other honorable guests.

Speaking on the topic, Campus journalism: Building The Next Generation Of Investigative Reporters And Ethical Storytellers, the panelists were moderated by popular broadcaster and peacemaker, Simiat Abaru.

During the panel session, student journalists were charged to report balanced stories, build network and report without bias to navigate through any challenges on campus.

While delivering his speech, the PCM president, Michael Adenrele appreciated every member of the club for their support, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to guests that were present.

“Thanks for coming, we are glad to receive you,” he said.

He therefore called on other students who are yet to join the club to see it as an opportunity to build their network and careers.
