“Upon a search, counterfeit notes amounting to N392,000, $7,800 in fake US dollars, and five different ATM cards were discovered,” Adejobi stated.
He added that further investigation led to the arrest of Ibrahim’s alleged accomplices, Muhammed Muntari and Usman Abdullahi, along with additional counterfeit currencies.
In a related operation, Adejobi said police officers on December 9, 2024, apprehended three suspected gunrunners along the Kaduna-Kano expressway in Kaduna State.
The suspects, identified as Buhari Suleiman, Jamil Yakubu, and Aliyu Abdullahi, were arrested following suspicious behavior.
