In a surprising turn of events, street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, delivered an electrifying performance at the Celestial Church of Christ’s Goshen Land Cathedral on Friday night, despite prior criticism surrounding the church’s choice of artists for its praise event.

The Celestial Church of Christ had faced backlash for inviting Portable and Fuji singer Pasuma to participate in its sacred praise night.

Critics argued that the unconventional choice of artists contradicted the traditional nature of the church’s worship practices.

Responding to the controversy, the church leader initially announced that Portable would no longer be part of the lineup.

However, Portable, known for his relentless energy and determination, insisted on honoring his commitment to perform at the revered venue.

True to his word, Portable made a grand entrance at the Goshen Land Cathedral, setting the stage ablaze with his infectious street-hop beats.

The artist’s electrifying performance left the audience in awe, as he seamlessly blended his signature style with the spiritual atmosphere of the church.

The controversial event was captured in a video that quickly circulated on social media, showcasing Portable’s dynamic stage presence and the enthusiastic response from the attendees.

Despite the initial skepticism, many in the audience seemed to appreciate the unique fusion of contemporary music and religious celebration.

The church leader’s decision to include Portable and Pasuma in the praise night reflects a broader trend of religious institutions embracing diverse forms of worship to appeal to a younger audience.

While some traditionalists may remain critical, others argue that such initiatives help bridge the gap between conventional religious practices and the evolving cultural landscape.

As the video of Portable’s performance continues to circulate online, opinions remain divided, sparking discussions about the intersection of music, culture, and spirituality.

The Celestial Church of Christ’s bold choice to host Portable serves as a reminder that the landscape of religious events is evolving, with artists like Portable challenging preconceived notions and contributing to the dynamic tapestry of worship experiences.
