The Premier League on Wednesday, approved the sale of two hotels by Chelsea’s owners to an associated company.
In June 2023, Chelsea FC Holdings Ltd sold the Millennium and Copthorne hotels to BlueCo 22 Properties Ltd.
Both companies are owned by BlueCo 22 Ltd, which is Chelsea’s holding company.
The £76.5m received from the deal, saw Chelsea make a loss of £89.9m instead of £166.4m in their 2022/2023 accounts.
The Premier League’s financial rules allow clubs to incur a maximum deficit of £105m over a rolling three-year period.
However, the Premier League has now cleared the sale, after the deal was deemed to be fair market value.
