The Ibadan Zonal Station of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria has lauded the Senator representing Ogun Central, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, for facilitating the installation of 15 solar-powered electricity poles at Paramount 94.5 FM, Abeokuta.
The commendation was contained in a letter dated January 30, 2026, and signed by the Acting Zonal Director of Radio Nigeria, Ibadan National Station, Mr. Olufemi Fulani.
Fulani described the intervention as a timely and impactful gesture that would enhance operations at the station and improve service delivery to residents of Ogun Central Senatorial District.
According to him, the solar-powered poles, installed within the premises of Paramount 94.5 FM, would guarantee a more stable power supply and boost broadcasting efficiency at the station.
He noted that the senator’s support reflected his commitment to grassroots development and his determination to make life more meaningful for the people through people-oriented initiatives.
“The Management and staff of Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station hereby express our sincere gratitude to you for your recent support to one of our FM stations in your constituency, Paramount 94.5 FM,” the letter read in part.
Fulani added that Senator Salisu’s various efforts as a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic, particularly through the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving public infrastructure, remained commendable.
The zonal director also reaffirmed the readiness of Radio Nigeria to partner with the lawmaker in projecting his programmes and activities to the people, especially in his efforts to deliver democratic dividends to constituents.
He urged the senator to sustain what he described as selfless service to the people and thanked him immensely for the intervention.
The installation of solar infrastructure at the radio station is expected to reduce dependence on unstable public power supply and cut operational costs, thereby strengthening public broadcasting in the state.
