A reckless driver who is also suspected to be an internet fraudster has crushed four people to death in a road crash that occurred at Ijoka Area of Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday morning

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the suspected internet fraudster was driving a Toyota Car at a high speed while going through Ijo Mimo to Sunday bus stop, Ijoka area of the town when his vehicle suddenly skidded off its lane and crushed the victims who were on commercial motorcycles to death.
The victims were said to have died immediately at the spot before they could be rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
An eyewitness revealed that the driver was suspected to be a ‘yahoo boy’ when some fetish items were discovered inside the car the moment some sympathizers were rushing to the scene to rescue him.
The shocking discovery led to burning of the car and beating of the driver to death by angry mob because he was said to have shown no remorse after the accident happened.
“Sympathizers who rushed to the scene to rescue the driver found some fetish items inside the vehicle, raising suspicion that the driver was a Yahoo boy.
“The mob action was due to the driver’s attitude after the incident because he showed no sign of remorse and attempted to run away from the scene of the accident,” the eyewitness said.
However, the men of the state police command took the lifeless bodies of the victims to the morgue and that of the driver who had died due to the attack from the mob.
