Retired Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju Extends Warm Wishes To Buhari On 81st Birthday

In commemoration of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s 81st birthday on December 17, 2023, Retired Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju, former General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Armoured Division Nigeria Army, expressed heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed leader.

General Olanrewaju, also a former Minister of Communications and Member of the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC), took the occasion to express gratitude to his “Commander-in-Chief” for the presidential pardon that restored his dignity as a retired Army Major General.

In a statement, General Olanrewaju acknowledged President Buhari’s global recognition for his leadership, both in the military and as the democratically elected head of the Nigerian state.

He praised Buhari’s legacy of leaving the seat of power with the nation in a stable state despite numerous challenges.

“I congratulate my Commander-in-Chief, General Buhari, who, amidst the nation’s challenges, left the seat of power with sanity and happiness.

 I express my sincere gratitude for removing stains from my public records and restoring my dignity through the presidential pardon at this twilight time of my life,” said General Olanrewaju.

As he extended his well-wishes, General Olanrewaju concluded, “I want to wish him well and pray to Almighty Allah to grant him longevity and keep him in good health. Thank you, General Muhammadu Buhari. Happy birthday, General.”
