The Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal has been relocated to Abuja to ensure a secure and unbiased environment for the resolution of the March 18, 2023 Governorship Election dispute.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress,Tonye Cole and the Beatrice Itubo, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party are challenging the victory of the People’s Democratic Party.
However, the tribunal on Wednesday reconvened in Abuja to begin hearing the candidates that are contesting the victory of Siminalayi Fubara, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party
Cole had previously obtained ex parte orders from the court, alleging that the Independent National Electoral Commission has been obstructing their efforts.
.He however, expressed his satisfaction with the tribunal finally commencing its proceedings in Abuja,
