Royal Electronics, a Nigerian-owned consumer electronics brand under SIMS Nigeria Limited, has announced the appointment of veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo and actress-entrepreneur Dr. Carolyna Hutchings as its new category brand endorsers.

The announcement was made as part of the company’s broader effort to deepen consumer engagement and reinforce its presence in the Nigerian electronics market.

Kanayo, a seasoned actor and lawyer widely respected for his decades-long career in Nollywood, is expected to represent the brand’s premium line of products. According to Royal Electronics, his reputation for integrity and consistency aligns with the company’s values of trust, legacy, and performance.

On the other hand, Hutchings — an actress, film producer, interior designer, and philanthropist — is set to champion Royal’s lifestyle and home appliance categories. The company said her diverse appeal and influence among young, style-conscious consumers would help drive brand relevance among a new generation of Nigerians.

Chief Marketing Officer of SIMS Nigeria Ltd., Mr. Fabian Uzor, described the endorsements as a milestone in the company’s brand evolution.

“At Royal, we are proud to work with individuals who reflect the values we uphold — quality, integrity, innovation and Nigerian excellence,” Uzor said. “The addition of Kanayo O. Kanayo and Dr. Carolyna Hutchings to the Royal family marks an exciting new phase in our brand journey.”

Royal Electronics, which has operated in Nigeria for over three decades through SIMS Nigeria Ltd., said it remains committed to delivering technology-driven solutions tailored to the needs of Nigerian families. The endorsements, the company noted, are part of its wider push to expand across urban and regional markets.

The development comes as Royal prepares to roll out new initiatives, including the Face of Royal 2025 competition, social impact projects, and an expanded product lineup.
