The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development by commissioning 23 landmark projects across Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The two-day event witnessed the presence of party leaders, royal fathers, community leaders, and constituents, who gathered to celebrate the senator’s unprecedented contributions to the district.
The projects cut across education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and commerce, significantly addressing long-standing challenges in the local communities.
The commissioning began with the unveiling of three blocks of 24 classrooms and an ICT Centre at Sango Ota High School, followed by the inauguration of a newly constructed town hall in Ijoko town.
Road projects completed and commissioned include Ilogbo Road, Maltina Road, Arije Road, Anglican Odopako Road, High Court Road, Iju-Ebiye Township Road, and Atan Market Road in Ota State Constituency.
In the Ado/Igbesa Constituency, significant road projects such as Lusada-Alapoti Road (Section 1), Agbara Township Road, Igbesa-Ejila Awori Road (Section 1), and Iloro Road were inaugurated.
Healthcare facilities were also prioritized, with the opening of two primary healthcare centres at Ejila Awori and Alapoti towns, as well as centres at Itele and Iyesi communities.
Additionally, ultramodern market stalls were inaugurated at Oba TT Dada Market, Ota, and Ajibawo town, alongside the commissioning of the Ado ultramodern market.
Traditional rulers and community leaders lauded Senator Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, for his impactful representation.
The Oniroko of Iroko town, Oba Adefemi Feyijimi, praised the senator for transforming neglected areas.
“Our people have suffered due to the neglect of these roads, but it is amazing that a senator came to our rescue. This is unprecedented in the annals of legislative representation,” the monarch remarked.
A school teacher, Mrs. Tayo Adebisi, who attended the inauguration of the classrooms in Sango, described the senator as a leader with a large heart.
“Look at the size of these classrooms and the ICT Centre. If all elected officials used public funds like this, Nigeria would be a far better place,” she stated.
Similarly, Mr. Michael Whesu, a community leader at Ejila Awori, expressed joy at the new healthcare centre, which he said would save residents the stress of traveling long distances for medical care.
“We have lacked a healthcare facility for years, and Senator YAYI’s intervention is a huge relief for us,” he noted.
Senator Adeola’s developmental strides have been consistent across Ogun West, where he has previously facilitated projects in other local government areas.
His efforts underscore his dedication to alleviating infrastructural and social deficits in the district, earning him widespread admiration from his constituents.
