The troops of the Nigerian Army deployed to end the crisis in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State have killed three bandits in the area.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the troops recovered three AK 47 rifles, 14 rounds of 7.62 mm special rounds, one motorcycle, and a Constabulary Police Identity Card from the gunmen.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Nwachukwu said the troops obliterated the bandits when they gallantly fought through an ambush staged by the gunmen, after responding to a distress call in the Mangu area.
The army spokesperson added that the troops are currently on the trail of bandits who escaped with gunshot wounds during the gun battle.
