    So-Safe Officer, One Other Shot Dead As Kidnappers Abduct Two Farmers In Ogun

    A kidnapping incident has claimed the lives of a So-Safe security officer and a worker of a farm in Obafemi Owode Local government Area, Ogun State.

    The unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday night after the kidnappers who were said to have appeared in camouflage left with two other resident of Abule Awo Orile Imo in the LGA.

    The Commander of So-Safe Corp, Soji Ganzalo, who confirmed the incident through a press statement stated that the kidnappers killed a So-Safe Officer, one farm worker while two others were abducted.

    Ganzalo mentioned that there was a joint operation with the police to tame the situation after the incident was reported, revealing that it was during the joint operation that the So-Safe officer was shot.

    “A distress call was made to owode area command by DPO owode division that 2 people were killed and they kidnapped 2 in Abule Awo, orilemo on 30/05/2023.

    “The Owode area command operation team lead by SC Saheed Ogunrinde moved to the affected location to salvage the situation.

    “On getting there the joint operations was carried out by our men and Nigerian Police all efforts to track the Kidnappers prove abortive.

    “The following morning 31/05/2023 when our men resume back with the police owode division to search the location which led them to interchange area.

    “On sighting our men they open fire thier bullet hit one of our men and died in person of SC Saheed Ogunrinde (aka AJURA). His dead body was taken to his house at ajura and he was buried. His rifle and phone was taken away by the kidnappers.

    Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP, Abimbola Oyeyemi said two people were shot dead on the spot while two people were kidnapped.

    Oyeyemi mentioned that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the situation as investigation is still ongoing.

    His words “Two people were shot dead on the spot and they kidnapped two but one suspect had been arrested in connection with the situation.”
