Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the quest for a sovereign Yoruba Nation, declaring it a non-negotiable goal.
In a heartfelt New Year message delivered through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, the prominent Yoruba self-determination advocate extended warm wishes to Yoruba people worldwide, urging unity and resilience in the ongoing struggle.
Igboho called for continuous peaceful protests and rallies to amplify the demand for self-determination, emphasizing that the movement remains rooted in unity, courage, and focus.
“Our watchword remains ‘No going back,’” he stated.
“This is the time for unity, courage, and focus. We are resolute in our mission, and we call on all Yoruba sons and daughters to be prepared for what lies ahead.”
The activist further urged Yoruba people to remain vigilant and proactive, emphasizing the need for unwavering determination. “This is not the time for hesitation.
We must sit up, organize, and move forward together. The journey may be challenging, but our destination is clear, and our victory is certain,” he added.
Igboho also expressed optimism about the realization of a sovereign Yoruba Nation, reassuring his supporters that the dream is closer than ever.
“May this new year bring happiness, peace, and fulfillment to all Yoruba people across the globe.
Your unwavering contributions to the struggle for self-determination and the establishment of our nation remain deeply appreciated,” he said.
He concluded by calling for a collective effort to ensure the movement gains further momentum, asserting that the year 2025 holds great promise for the realization of their aspirations.
