Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended former Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu’s commitment to supporting the current administration, despite political party differences, for the betterment of the citizens.

He described his willingness to put aside political affiliations and work together for the greater good of the state as truly unprecedented and deserving of recognition.

The Governor in a birthday message to Aliyu, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, extended his warm congratulations to the former Governor on his 69th birthday.

According to him, ” The celebrant is an outstanding, outspoken and courageous leader who contributed immensely to the growth and development of Niger State and Nigeria, especially when he was a Permanent Secretary at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and during his tenure as Governor (2007–2015)”.

The Governor noted that Niger State is still benefiting from some projects executed during the administration of Dr Babangida Aliyu.

He said, “the willingness and commitment displayed by the former Governor towards supporting the present administration for the good of the citizenry, regardless of party differences, is unprecedented and commendable”.

While appreciating Allah for His boundless blessings and for adding another year to Dr Babangida Aliyu, Bago prayed for more years, sound health and wisdom for continuous service to humanity.
