Suspected cultists have allegedly killed a man identified only as AK after he reportedly renounced membership of a cult group in Edo State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government of the state.
It was further learnt that the deceased, alleged to be a member of Aye confraternity, reportedly renounced his membership of the cult group following a crackdown on cultism and related activities in the state.

The deceased, said to be a motor park manager, was reportedly killed last Friday by his assailants at Angle 90 junction, Auchi.
A source said the incident might be part of a reprisal attack by members of the confraternity, even though he had renounced his membership.
He said the killing was believed to have been triggered by a failed attempt by a group to kill a supposed leader of one of the confraternities a few days back.
He called on the state government and security agencies to take urgent action to stop the cult violence in the area, noting that the killing might trigger another killing by the rival group.
The Edo State command’s spokesman, CSP Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident.
“Yes, the command is aware of it. The corpse was deposited at the hospital while efforts are on to arrest the fleeing assailants,” he said.
