Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has inaugurated a Development Mobilization and Investment Committee.

The newly established committee will focus on mobilizing resources and partnerships to boost the state’s economic and infrastructure growth.

A statement made available to journalists on Monday in Jalingo by the Secretary to the Government of State, SGS, Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, said the committee will be led by the immediate past Deputy governor of the state, Haruna Manu.

Barrister Uba Maigari, a former deputy governor and the current Minister of State for Regional Development will serve as Alternate Chairman, while Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau was appointed as Vice Chairman of the committee.

The committee also includes the senator representing Taraba South, David Jimkuta, Sani Abubakar Danladi and Armaya’u Abubakar.

Other members of the committee are Jafaru Yakubu Chiroma, Mark Bako Useini, Sadiq Abbas Tafida and Engineer Ahmed Gamaliel.

Barrister Umar Bangari will act as the Committee Secretary.

Members of the committee were drawn from both the major opposition political party, All Progressives Congress, and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The move was said to have been designed towards driving development and attracting investment to the state.
