Terrorists on Friday, went on rampage killed no fewer than  30 farmers and  a revered Islamic cleric in Zamfara.

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the hoodlums invaded two farming communities ; Gidangoga village in Maradun Local Government Area and Bilbis village in Tsafe LGA.

According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants initiated their rampage in Maradun LGA, launching a vicious attack on Gidangoga village where farmers were diligently preparing their fields for the imminent wet season.

Among the victims was Mallam Makwashi Maradun Mai Jan Baki, a highly respected figure known for his devout recitation of the Quran during Ramadan Tafsir at the Maradun First Jumuat Mosque.

The merciless assault claimed his life as he toiled on his farm, leaving behind a distraught community mourning not only his loss but also the inexplicable disappearance of his two children in the wake of the attack.

As the dusk descended, he terrorists unleashed terror on Bilbis village in Tsafe LGA that resulted in the  demise of 20 other persons.

. Witnesses recounted how the bandits callously targeted farmers engaged in field clearance activities, exhibiting no semblance of mercy as they wrecked  havoc upon the unsuspecting populace.

In a narrow escape from the clutches of death, Alhaji Murtala Ruwan Bado, the district head of Garbadu in Talata Marafa Emirate, narrowly dodged a terrorist ambush along the perilous Mayananchi road.

Residents of the areas have called the authorities to swiftly intervene, not only to dispense justice for the fallen but also to institute robust measures aimed at safeguarding the lives and livelihoods of civilians.
