Mass Communication, Political Science, Business Administration, and Social Science Education Students Prepare for August Contest
Students in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions have a new opportunity to enhance their learning and receive financial support through a nationwide objectives virtual test.
This initiative, which will be conducted periodically, aims to reward students with support funds as they participate in the virtual tests.
Scheduled to take place on the Mobile Classroom app, the nationwide objectives virtual test will cover various academic courses.
For August 2024, the focus will be on students studying Mass Communication, Political Science, Business/Public Administration, and Social Science Education.
Students enrolled in these courses, regardless of their institution, level, or location, can join the virtual test and compete for a share of the N4 million support fund allocated for the month.
Prominent guest lecturers from reputable higher institutions across Nigeria have been selected to administer the virtual test.
They include Dr. Ayobami Elegunde from the Department of Business Administration at Lagos State University (LASU), Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso from the Department of Mass Communication at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Dr. Sheidu Kamoru from the Faculty of Education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and Dr. Tokpo Coronation from the Political Science Department at Federal University, Otuoke.
These lecturers have established individual classes on the Mobile Classroom app, where they have uploaded video lectures on various topics.
Participants are required to study these materials ahead of the virtual test. The tests will be conducted live on the app, and students must join at the scheduled time to participate. The schedule for the August 2024 tests is as follows:
Mass Communication Students: Saturday, 31st August, 5:00 PM
Political Science Students: Friday, 30th August, 5:30 PM
Business Administration Students: Friday, 30th August, 6:30 PM
Social Science Education Students: Friday, 30th August, 5:00 PM
The initiative, spearheaded and funded by Mobile Classroom Ltd., aims to stimulate learning through a rewarding system that empowers students with innovative ideas but lack the necessary financial support to bring those ideas to fruition.
Akeem Salami, the CEO of Mobile Classroom Ltd., stated that the company is open to partnerships and sponsorships from other brands and corporate organizations to further drive learning and provide funding for deserving students.
Nigerian students are encouraged to follow @_myclassapp on Twitter for regular updates and guidance on the periodic virtual tests and support opportunities.
