Three policemen arrested and detained for the alleged murder of the Kwara State Polytechnic student, Abdulqoyyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, have reportedly been dismissed from the police force.

DAILY POST gathered that the three officers were whisked to Abuja headquarters from Ilorin, for a discreet investigation into the alleged murder of the late student.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, had ordered the transfer of the case to Abuja for a proper probe into the matter.

Late Abdulqoyyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, was allegedly murdered on September 4, 2024, by three policemen in the GRA area of the Ilorin metropolis.

The management and students union government of the polytechnic had called for justice for the murder of the late student.

The state police commissioner, Victor Olaiya, also vowed to dig into the matter to ensure justice for the family of the late student and the community.

When DAILY POST called the PPRO of the state police command, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, in Ilorin on Friday, she said ” I am yet to get the information to that effect on the dismissal of the three police operatives.”
