Three persons escaped death on Saturday after an accident occured in the Anthony-Obanikoro area of Lagos State.

The accident, which involved a 40-foot container, two Toyota Camry cars (with license plates KRD 432 JA and APP 43 HN), and a sand-loaded tipper truck (bearing license plate T 17001LA) fortunately didn’t injure anyone.

It was gathered that the chain of events was triggered by a brake failure in the 40-foot container truck.

According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), this truck, traveling at an excessive speed, collided with three other vehicles, including a tipper laden with sand.

Reacting to this, the General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, issued a reminder to all motorists to prioritize the maintenance of their vehicles.

He therefore urged individuals to ensure their vehicles are in optimal condition before embarking on journeys, whether within Lagos or beyond.
