A popular TikToker, Endurance Udeke, has died after reportedly jumping from a four-storey building during a sting operation conducted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lekki, Lagos. The anti-graft agency described the incident as “suicidal.”
Udeke, who lived in Apartment W6a, Periwinkle Estate, Lekki Phase 1, allegedly attempted to evade arrest alongside another resident on November 4, 2025.
While the other resident survived after receiving medical attention, Udeke did not survive despite interventions by emergency responders.
In a statement, the EFCC said the operation had proceeded smoothly across the estate, leading to the arrest of four suspected internet fraudsters. The commission added that there was no prior contact with Udeke before the incident.
“The commission is shocked by the suicidal action of the deceased,” EFCC spokesperson stated. “We have reported the matter to the police, which has commenced an investigation into the incident.”
Residents and social media followers have expressed shock at Udeke’s death, which has sparked debates about the pressures faced by influencers and the handling of suspects during anti-fraud operations.
