    Tinubu Approves Reappointment Of  Agboola As  Provost Of Aro Neuropsychiatric Hospital

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Dr. Afis Akanni Agboola as the Provost and Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

    This appointment, marking Dr. Agboola’s second and final four-year term, highlights the president’s recognition of his achievements and dedication to advancing mental health services in Nigeria.

    A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the hospital,  Ajibola Abiola stated that the the reappointment, conveyed by the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, officially commenced  on July 27, 2024, according to a letter from the Presidency dated October 24, 2024.

    Ajibola added that the letter, with reference number PRES/BI/SGF/138/90/MH/B, praised Dr. Agboola’s remarkable contributions to the hospital’s progress during his first term and urged him to build on these successes.

    According to him, while presenting the reappointment letter, Dr. Alausa commended Dr. Agboola for his commitment and leadership, noting that the hospital has witnessed significant strides in service delivery and infrastructure under his administration.

    The Minister further tasked Dr. Agboola with intensifying his efforts to ensure that Aro Neuropsychiatric Hospital continues to provide exceptional mental health care and meet the evolving needs of Nigerians.

    Dr. Agboola’s reappointment shows  the Federal Government’s confidence in his capabilities and dedication to sustaining high standards in mental health care.

    The Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, known for its specialized psychiatric services, is expected to expand its reach and impact under his leadership.
