President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his confidence that the president elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would uphold his legacy and expand upon it in order to create a better Nigeria.
Buhari in a short video, claimed that Tinubu had true faith in Nigeria and was dedicated to its development and long-term prosperity.
He therefore thanked Nigerians for electing him as their president twice, and also thanked them for heeding to his appeal, supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their presidential candidate.
Buhari in his statement also revealed what Nigerians should expect from the President-elect, when he takes over power.
he said, “Thank you for electing me on two occasions to be your president and thank you also for responding positively to my call by voting for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“By the grace of God, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Ahmed is now the president-elect of the country and as I have mentioned before, he truly believes in Nigeria and is genuinely committed to the progress and sustainable future of the country.
“I believe that Bola Tinubu will sustain our legacies and build on them towards achieving a greater Nigeria.”
