Transfer deadline day: Arsenal in talks to sign goalkeeper from EPL rivals for Arteta

Arsenal are in talks with Bournemouth over a potential deal for goalkeeper, Neto, according to Sky Sports.

Aaron Ramsdale is on the verge of completing a move from the Emirates to Southampton.

But Mikel Arteta’s desire is to ensure there is competition for the number one shirt.

Neto, 35, has two years left on his current contract at the Vitality Stadium. He has started all three of their matches in the 2024/25 campaign.

Arsenal had previously been working on a deal for Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, which has not been ruled out, but Neto seems more likely.

However, two keepers could arrive on Deadline Day.
