Nigerian defender Ebube Duru has joined Danish Superliga club Sønderjyske Fodbold on a three-year contract.
Duru was previously on trial at the Sønderjyske Fodbold.
The defender, who has been training at Sønderjyske Fodbold for a long time, has signed a contract until the summer of 2027.
The 25-year-old has been without a club since leaving Rivers United over a year ago.
“We have been watching Ebube Duru for a long period of time, and we have been satisfied with what we have seen,” sporting director Casper Daather told the club’s official website.
“He brings some raw physique, power and ambition, which looks very exciting, but we are also aware that there will probably be a longer approach with him, because it is the first time he will be playing football in Europe.
“He has good raw material, which we look forward to developing together in our setup, and now that the contract and the various papers are in place, we look forward to getting started in earnest.”
The left-back is in line to make his debut when Sønderjyske take on Solrød FC in a Danish Cup tie later tonight.
