Former Liverpool midfielder, Jamie Redknapp, has heaped praises on Mikel Merino.
Merino is close to joining Premier League side Arsenal from Real Sociedad this summer transfer window.
The Spaniard has already reached an agreement with Mikel Arteta’s side to move to the Emirates Stadium.
However, Redknapp believes that the midfielder has the ‘perfect profile’ for the Premier League.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp said (via TBR Football): “They are talking about getting in Merino, obviously he had a really good Euros for Spain.
“He looks a fantastic player, a perfect profile for the Premier League, that is a player that he [Arteta] wants to get in – I’m sure that will happen.”
