Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has asked the club to try and sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.

Sancho is yet to play a competitive game for United this season and is being linked with a swap deal involving Raheem Sterling.

With three days left in the transfer market, Mikel Obi has admitted he would be happy if the deal went through.

He said on his podcast: “If we can get him through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy. He’s a fantastic player.

I think on that side of the pitch, we’re very strong. But listen, if we can get a player like Jadon, of course, you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”
