    EDITED-

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has said that he is happy with Nicolas Jackson as his striker amid the club’s effort to bring a more established Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea want to add Osimhen or Ivan Toney to their squad ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.

The Ivory Coast International Jackson has not met expectations in front of goal since joining the Blues last summer.

Latest report coming from Italy says that the Blues have intensified their effort to sign Osimhen, while Toney is on standby.

Speaking ahead of the second-leg clash with Servette in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off on Thursday, the former Leicester City boss said that he is satisfied with Jackson.

The Italian was asked for his comments on club’s links with the Nigeria international and Toney, he said, according to Football.London, “I didn’t speak to Nicolas about this. I had a meeting with Nicolas yesterday but just about the amount of good things he is doing with us.

“I don’t think Nicolas needs a chat. He is our nine, our striker in this moment. We are very happy with him.”
