Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his elation over the ruling of the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) on Wednesday night, which upheld the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, in the February 25 election.

In a statement released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, the former President praised the PEPC for “making history” by adhering to the law and delivering justice without succumbing to intimidation or bias.

He emphasized that the verdict is a win for democracy and the people.

“If anybody has won today, it is democracy and the people,” Buhari stated. He also called for unity and urged the nation to move beyond the election period’s heated debates.

Buhari expressed his confidence in the new APC administration, led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and encouraged everyone to support their efforts in fulfilling the promises made to the people during the election campaign.

The former President extended his gratitude to all citizens for maintaining peace throughout the election process and offered his prayers for continued progress and development under the APC government.

He concluded by sending warm congratulations to the President, Vice President, and the APC on their victory in court, conveying his best wishes for their success in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
