The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has once again taken the lead as the headline sponsor of the highly anticipated 2023 Lagos International Trade Fair, marking its sixth consecutive year of sponsorship for this annual event.

This partnership between UBA and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) underscores the bank’s commitment to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and driving entrepreneurial growth across the African continent.

Scheduled to take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos from November 3 to 12, 2023, this year’s 37th edition of the trade fair promises to offer an array of networking opportunities, innovation showcases, and a platform for promoting international trade, industry diversity, and local businesses.

Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, Chairman of the Trade Promotion Board at LCCI, expressed appreciation for UBA’s consistent support in sponsoring the trade fair.

He highlighted the event’s focus on delivering world-class facilities, safety, and a digital banking platform provided by UBA to facilitate seamless financial transactions and intra-Africa fund transfers.

Babatunde Ajayi, Head of SME Banking at UBA, emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting local businesses and communities.

He announced special incentives for businesses registering to attend the fair, aligning with UBA’s dedication to SME growth and development.

UBA’s continued partnership with LCCI underscores the pivotal role of SMEs in fostering economic activity and long-term sustainability, both in Nigeria and globally.

This collaboration aims to provide a dynamic platform for businesses to thrive and expand their horizons at the forthcoming Lagos International Trade Fair.
